Well after a bad first run in with a Cadillac Catera aka GBC "German Bought Car" which was a horrible first car. I got rid of it for 700 and got most my money back even after it was broken down. i saved up after working and got this bad boy! =-] 1996 Ford Thunderbird LX with a 4.6 V8 and a posi rear end =] it needs some body work and a tune up but other than that i love it! =] check it!

im officially jealous... lmao nice wip XB =]
and with mine, i gotta get the transmission looked into since it likes to slips from 1-2 and 2-3 but runs good from there. im gonna go into jiffy lube and have them run through it, flush it, clean it out, put a new filter in, and refill with fluid and see if it'll fix it.. if not ill look into getting new gears for it |

If you flush it, it will be 10 times worse than it is now. Guaranteed. |

| why would it be worse?a buddy of mine who we let do all of our mechanical work said that the transmission fluid in it could be old and have shit floating in it that could be fucking with the gears and causing it to slip |

http://www.myhonestmechanic.com/articles/transmission_slipping.shtml
Long story short, I have two friends who have been Ford mechanics for a combined 30+ years, both say the exact same thing that the article says, the dirt and grime in the transmission fluid is actually being used for traction by the worn gears in your transmission. If you drain all of that grime out and put in new "slick" fluid, your gears will have nothing to grab onto and your transmission will slip much worse. |

I dont have to worry about that since i only have 3 gears -_-
